Nuts and Bolts of Teaching Reading and Writing: 2-Day Summer Literacy Institute
This two-day virtual institute is designed to give new and early-career K–5 teachers a strong foundation in effective reading and writing instruction. Participants will explore the essential components of an effective literacy block and walk away with practical strategies to support students at all levels—below, on-level, and advanced.
Through interactive sessions, real-world examples, and planning tools, teachers will learn how to organize instruction, differentiate effectively, and implement guided reading, writing mini-lessons, small group routines, and independent practice. Whether teachers are brand-new to the classroom or transitioning into ELA from another role, this training will provide the clarity and confidence needed to start the school year strong.
