Join us for an enriching professional development session titled "Emergent Writing Skills" designed specifically for teachers of prekindergarten to 2nd grade. This session will focus on strategies to support young learners in developing their handwriting, sentence structure, and ability to organize their thoughts.


Objectives:

  • Develop Handwriting Proficiency: Teachers will learn and implement effective techniques to teach proper letter formation, spacing, and handwriting fluency, helping young learners develop strong handwriting skills.
  • Construct and Understand Sentence Structure: Educators will discover methods to help students construct complete sentences, understand basic grammar, and use punctuation correctly, laying the foundation for effective written communication.
  • Organize Thoughts and Express Ideas: Participants will explore strategies to guide young learners in organizing their ideas, creating coherent stories, and expressing their thoughts clearly, fostering early writing skills and promoting literacy success.
