Join us for an insightful professional development session on "Boosting Writing Skills for Short Answer & Extended Responses," tailored for teachers in grades 3 to 8. This session will focus on equipping educators with the tools and strategies to support students in planning, organizing, and refining their written responses, both short and extended.
Objectives:
- Develop Effective Planning Techniques: Teachers will learn strategies to help students plan their short answer and extended responses, ensuring their writing is clear and coherent.
- Enhance Organizational Skills: Educators will discover methods to teach students how to logically organize their ideas and structure their responses effectively.
- Refine Writing Through Feedback: Participants will explore techniques for providing quick, actionable feedback that helps students improve their writing quality within shorter time frames, focusing on revision and editing practices.
Presenters:
 Malene Golding
Malene Malene Golding, M.Ed, is a certified Master Reading Teacher and Reading Specialist who has been a professional educator for over twenty years, teaching, coaching, managing reading and writing teachers, administrators and specialists and taught preservice teachers as an adjunct professor.
 Monique Johnson
Monique Johnson is a educator for 20 plus years and worked in several public-school districts and private schools. Monique has a passion for Middle school however has worked in Elementary, High School and Secondary (College). Served as a teacher, instructional coach, curriculum manager, professor, and education consultant. Her motto is all students can learn regardless of their circumstances.
